More than a Meal

Founded in 2014 by Tyler and Lindsey Steinkamp, Pasta of the Prairie began with a simple idea: make great pasta by hand, using time-honored techniques and real ingredients.

What started at small Iowa farmers’ markets quickly grew into a beloved Midwest brand, known for its flavor, quality, and care.

“Pasta of the Prairie started as a creative outlet—gardening, cooking, and learning by doing. We never set out to build a big brand. We just wanted to make pasta the right way.”

From hand-rolling dough to investing in authentic Italian pasta extruders, Tyler and Lindsey built Pasta of the Prairie one batch at a time.


Still handmade. Still rooted in Iowa.

Acquired by Amana Society, Inc. in December 2025, Pasta of the Prairie continues through Amana Farms Foods. Honoring Tyler & Lindsey’s original vision, we are carrying forward the same hands-on mindset.

As part of the Amana Food family, Pasta of the Prairie expands a heritage-driven food tradition dating back to 1855. Together, we’re building a more complete food experience—pairing thoughtfully made pasta, meal kits, and comfort foods with the craftsmanship that defines all Amana products.
